Firewall Settings -
You will need to make sure any and all Port Forwarding changes are done ahead of time, if possible. Firewall changes are the most common hold up in a situation like this, and if the changes are not made correctly, we will not be able to connect to your server.
If your I.T. team needs a refresher on the original Firewall setup, please have them follow these instructions.
These settings must be setup like they were on your old server. An improper Firewall setup can block the services from properly connecting your Technicians.
New IP Address-
If your company is receiving a new IP address for your server which runs SuccessWare21, the new IP address will need to be entered into the SWRemote Admin site as soon as this change takes place. You can login to https://manage.swremote.com and click on the 'Master Accounts' Tab on the left and you will see "API URL". We would be happy to plug this in for you,
In addition, if you do receive a new IP address, some of the Devices may need to be registered again. This can only be done by someone in the Office who has access to the SWRemote Admin site.
Http Service Administrator-
Last but not least, you may need to restart the Http Service Administrator, especially if I.T. happens to perform an update to the server or SuccessWare21.
If your server is unable to connect to the internet at all during the switch over period, unfortunately the Techs will not be able to connect.
