First and foremost, the most important thing to remember, is that the HEADPHONE volume must be raised to its maximum level on the Invoice.
Apple has implemented a new option within Settings to enable or disable the microphone and headphone jack on an iPad or iPhone running on iOS 7 and up. To set the microphone to "on" follow the instructions below:
- Go to Settings
- Select Privacy
- Then select Microphone
- Make sure SWRemote is set to on, which is represented by the color green
In addition, there are a few other settings that need to be enabled to ensure the swipers work in iOS 7 and up:
Go to Settings
Select General
Select Accessibility
Make sure that Mono Audio is set to off as seen above
Ensure Left-Right audio balance is in the center, as seen above.
Go back to settings and select Music
Set Volume Limit to off as seen above.
The most important thing to remember, is that the HEADPHONE volume must be raised to its maximum level on the iPad.

Please note that this setting does not exist prior to iOS7.
